How You Should Study Latin Vocabulary

The study of Latin vocabulary is the key to the study of English vocabulary. Why, you ask? English vocabulary is 52.6% derived from Latin and 90% of words two syllables or more. When you study the Latin, you should make sure you learn not only the meaning, but all the other important parts. For nouns, the genitive, gender, and meaning. For verbs, the principal parts and the meaning. For adjectives, all the nominatives. For all other parts of speech, their parts of speech and any other pertinent information.


When you study the Latin, make sure you look at the derivatives as well to help you to memorize it.
